Annoying noise when neighbours turn on taps

Is anyone else hearing these things from time to time?
Is it the old pipes, or just worn out hardware?
I used to have this problem back before i changed my faucets in the bathrooms. After that it just went away (for my unit)
I still hear it occasionally from what i assume to be the upstairs neighbours.
Am i alone on this?
Hearing water noises
I too hear water noises of some sort coming from other floors. Funny you should mention it because sometimes I think that the water noises is some guy pissing upstairs or something but that's probably not the case cause if you can hear a guy pissing, its likely you can hear pretty much everything else tahts going on upstairs which for me is not the case.
noisy taps
the noise issue in the pipes is caused by worn taps vibrating and the only way to remedy this it to fix the taps by replacing seats and/ or stem o rings ..unfortunately sometimes the owners an renter will ignore this problem .. little do they know the reverberation will travel 12 stories causing the wookie howling sound everybody is hearing so please renters ...report this problem to the office and owners, please fix this problems either by doing it yourself or calling a plumber in.

If I have the hot water going
If I have the hot water going in my shower, but only slightly, the pipes rumble as though they're going to burst. Perhaps 1/8th pressure?
