Broken elevator
There is a broken elevator in the North Tower. It is stuck at the 9th floor. My wife was stuck in the elevator and luckily she managed to get out of it on the 9th floor by some fluke that the doors opened randomly after it moved up and down several floors. We have contacted the elevator repair company (the number inside the elevator) and have asked them to have a look but they haven't had a look yet and it's been several hours now. Judging by the broken elevators in South, im guessing they take days to have a look at something before acutally doing something.
Just posting this here so maybe members of the security committee know the right people to contact to get the elevator fixed. Also for north tower residents to be aware.
Don't hold your breath.
The South Tower elevators haven't worked properly in well over a year. Don't expect it to be fixed to 100% anytime soon.
9th Floor
I just got home and noticed that the elevator was stuck on the 9th too. Here's some insight on what happens when an elevator goes down...
You did right by calling the elevator company and informing them. However, they won't come out and do a service call after hours, unless it is an emergency (i.e. both elevators stop working), Which is good, because their after-hours rates are more expensive than anyone should ever consider paying (less in emergencies).
Hopefully, though, they'll be on the scene tomorrow. Like every other contractor, however, they'll come and fix it as their schedule permits. We'll all just have to wait and see...
