Building Access

I would just like to remind everyone (or inform for the first time, perhaps) NOT to allow anyone access to the building if they do not have the ability to access it themselves. Let each person receive their own guests; it is their responsibility to do so, not yours.

Tonight, while visiting the center tower, I witnessed someone allow 3 unsavoury characters access to the building. The tenant was frightened by them, and so allowed them to follow him in. They then proceeded to get into the elevator and somehow managed to get off on an upstairs floor (but not the floor they indicated they were going to). I am still uncertain of how they managed this feat, as I had watched them wave at me (for access) for 10 minutes prior to their gaining entry, so I knew they didn't have a key. I waited in the lobby watching for them for a few minutes to see if they would re-emerge, but they did not.

Please, for the safety of all our residents and of everything in the parkade, be extra vigilant about allowing people access to the building. If you find your normal entry door blocked by individuals you feel wary about, use another entry. YOU can get home through many different routes, as long as you have your key. THEY can only get in if you allow them inside. The extra 3 minutes it may take you to backtrack through the building pales in comparison to the potential cost of what these individuals could do to our homes.

Do bums camping out in the lobby of central, as the door is unlocked year round, count as 'Building Access'?
