Was declined Free Trial

So I live in the building and I read about this trial. I walk into the gym around March 29th and it was just construction crew there. Was not offered a trial and they had no equipment during that date. Then I go in today, April 27th since I was off for 2 weeks and learned the gym just opened last week. Also learned I couldn't get the free 14 day trial. Mentioned that I was there a few weeks ago but too bad was told, can't get free 14 day trial.

Not sure how you can get a 14 day free trial when they had no equipment prior to March 31st and they realistically only opened last week April 17 thru 21st.

Also wanted to point out that other gyms downtown have some sort of free trial period (although not necessarily for 14 days), I believe Goodlife says its a three visit trial. Also no discount for Capital Centre residents (although they dont have to do that but I believe Hudsons has some sort of deal). I'm probably not going to pay $39 + $39 per month to trial a gym.
