Does the Board have enough proxy votes to make a decision on the pool renos?
$1,500,000 / 7800 = $192/per share.
So, for me, in a 3 bedroom unit with 31 shares, that would be 31 * 192 = $5961.
I'd like to be able to budget for any additional costs for the year.
Proxies
The proxy collection process has not yet been completed. However, we have now set a deadline of 16 Dec for submission, and the results of the Special Resolution will be sent to all owners by 19 Dec.
For your budget example, you forgot to add in the unit factors of your parking stalls, upon which you would also be assessed (for the total). That should help with your budgeting (as we may conclude the SR during December, but due to the time of year, it is unlikely the assessment will be calculated and done until the new year).
Assessments?
Is there any news on when we can expect the assessments as we're now well into the new year? Thanks!
Assessment
Here's what I know: I don't know.
I worked my bag off to get the assessment wrapped up as soon as possible, to allow for the most time. I accomplished that on the first day of December.
At that point, it was then in the hands of our (former) Property Manager, Don Brown. He was supposed to file the necessary paperwork with the province so that we could amend our By-laws; one of those legal things that needs to be done so that we can actually send out the assessment. He didn't.
Our (new) Property Manager is working on that now. Hopefully, it will be done soon. But how soon, again, I don't know.

Don needs work.
